Lorick NYC

I was just getting excited thinking about the new season of Gossip Girl, so I decided to check out the Lorick NYC website. Lorick is the brand that Blair often wears on the show. The website is really pretty! Also, here's an interview with Abigail Lorick, the brain behind the line.

frowning girl

I have the white patent Marc by M.J mouse flats from a few years back, but they're getting a little worn out. I immediately loved the updated patent mouse flats that came out last year (posted above), and thought those would definitely be my upgrade flats. However, I keep seeing the striped "Miss Marc" flats with the frowning doll on the toe and I think they'll have to be my next splurge pair of flats. She's just too cute!

osborn designs

A friend at work told me about the ethical shoes made by Osborn Designs. The shoes are made by a small (only 2 people or so!) group of artisans in Guatemala City. Their cute patterned oxfords were just featured in Time Out NY. I've been on the look out for a pair of black or grey ones for fall--but it's very tempting to purchase a floral pair instead and support a good cause.

New Kate Spade

I Love all the new Fall clothes at Kate Spade. Polka dots and pops
of color are very hard to resist. Her lines are always playful, but this
line is a bit more cute & young than usual. I think I'll take one of each please.

I watched Charlyne Yi on Conan the other night. She was there promoting her and Michael Cera's movie, Paper Heart. She performed her special break up song, and I didn't really think anything of it until the next day I read that Michael Cera dumped her! Who knows if it's really true; it could just be a PR stunt before they begin their movie promo tour. Check out the Paper Heart trailer here

Anthropologie august

I'm on an Anthropologie kick lately because there's a lot of great
styles in the store right now. However I haven't been buying, because
most things are just way too expensive there. I got their August
catalog today and I really like the theme (and photos): real people
