inspiring as of late

i haven't been posting many pics on wardrobe_remix as of late because i've been lacking inspiration. but things are changing...there are so many inspiring people to be found on wardrobe_remix. In particular, I find her outfits so inspiring. i love mbibelot's mix of quirk and luxury fashion (marc jacobs and chanel mostly). also, i find her outfit choices inspiring b/c like me, she works in an office with older people but she doesn't let that inhibit her daring outfit choices...whereas i do most days! she knows how to dress her body, yet still manages to work in trends and quirky pieces.

in other news, we are still working on our initial projects in my sewing class. it's taking us so long to finish, but in a way i'm happy about that. it means i get to make sure every bit of my skirt is made with the help of the teacher...who by the way is a veteran seamstress.

luella is one of those designers that i go back to time and time again for inspiration. i was really inspired by these looks today....


i really do love to check out all sorts of fashion, but in the end i truly love the comfortable cute clothing lines like...sound girl, princess tina, charlotte ronson and of course luella.

1 year!

March is one of my favorite months of the year. And now, since I have abblesauce it's even better in March because it marks my annual celebration of my site launch. I met with my accountant and am gearing up with new designs...and even learning to sew! All these things make me realize how much has changed in one year. Anyway, I posted a fav pic of mine...my friend had a mustache party and we were pretty much the only girls who came prepared with our own amazing set of staches.

i finished up my skinny jean transformation this evening. i even was sewing during the project runway finale show...haha. anyway, i love em. they're the perfect black cigarette pants that i've been searching for!

I'm trying to sew a bunch to work on my new sewing skills...
I bought these black Salt Works NYC jeans at loehmann's a few weeks ago. Great fit, but are too long and are bootcut. So, I'm working to alter them into skinny jeans. I'll post the finished product soon! Lets hope I can get my feet through the bottom of the jeans!
