i wish i could drink a bubbletea right now. if someone opened up a bubble tea shop around here, they'd make a killing. my steaming hot english breakfast tea just won't do in this 78 degree weather. when i was in scotland last week, i drank so much scottish breakfast tea. and it was served with shortbread and plenty of milk a sugar, just the way i like it! it was twinnings, my favorite brand....ive never had the SCOTTISH breakfast till then though. i might have to order some offline.

Irregular Choice

well i got the hair cut. i've been kidding around and saying its a mom cut, but to be more positive, it might look more like a karen o cut. still not sure which is better.

it's haircut time again. need to have some sort of a do when im touring scotland. i think i look better w/ bangs. and i will keep the hair short for awhile...since it takes so long to grow out again!

1. keep the current do, just get it cleaned up a bit( i'll scan pics of what i got it cut like 2 mos ago).
2. get it cut like shannon sossamon's, w/ the short bangs.

i have had it cut like shannon sossamon, audrey tatou, maggie gyllenhaal...i think im over the punky messy gyllenhaal look, but still like the longer pieces in the front. i like the really short short bangs, just not sure if i want them right now.

i donated 2 big bags of clothes to big brothers and big sisters, last night. feels good to get rid of things. so, then i went to target to replace a few things i got rid of, w/ some basic pieces. to no avail. all the mediums were gone in everything i was looking at! i also cleaned a lot and started packing for scotland.

i have an "inspiration" board hanging over my computer desk, but w/ all the moisture lately the pages have become a bit curled on the edges. i have been wanting to make some sort of inspiration notebook (just encasing my fav designs or odds and ends). so, i finally decided to just cut and tape the images in random pages of my college ruled nb. i end up carrying it w/ me all week anyway, so i figure i'll just sketch between the random images of zombies and teacups that i taped in.

1. another pair of city shorts.
2. a pair of plaid shorts for the summer--like ones pictured from anthropologie.
3. a long thin cardigan i can add a cinch belt to.
4. a dress that fits me perfectly...like one of these from anthropologie.
5. a few fun tees.
6. long jean shorts that come to the knee, and fit great.
7. new pencil skirt.
8. a babydoll dress i can wear w/ my leggings--like the one from anthropologie.

the real purchases.

this is the tunic i got at forever 21 (just in blue and green instead) and the nike sprint sister's i finally purchased, after going on sale. shopping is kinda tough w/o a car. and im not into the ebay thing yet. so, i end up perusing the local mall...which is nothing spectacular. so i end up in forever 21! i hate that i buy things from there...b/c they always rip right away. so, i've allowed myself to purchase the items that are in the 10 dollar range...then i wont feel so bad when they rip. i also got another tee, w/ puffed sleeves that the "abi cartoon" will be fashioning in an upcoming post.

2nd tee sample.

this is my "daydreaming" tee. she's taking a break from skating w/ her friends to lie down in the park and daydream. the back of this tee is not up yet, simply b/c i didn't get it printed. also, there will be logos on the sleeves.

i'm waiting on an estimate and $5,000 to appear in MY bank account so i can make my daydreams reality.

mouse and chee tee! i love it! the green mouse is in a flock material, so he's fuzzy. this could be my christmas mouse and chee. i could do a pink mouse at valentine's day and an orange guy for halloween. ohhh the possibilities. so, the mouse is the front of the tee and the chee is on the back.

ohhh and what about this pandapple bag from sanrio. i just downloaded a hello kitty calendar the other day and saw that for my next visa, i can have a hello kitty one! i love sanrio.

leggings

i knew when i was in soho on sunday i should have bought some red or black leggings! this way i can wear my dresses and still be able to ride my bike to work...while looking fashionable at the same time. thank you leggings. maybe i'll go into the city again on sunday and purchase...since i probably won't see my mom on moms day...boohoo. maybe i'll get my yellow jellies too, that i kept trying on, but didn't buy!

decorations

after all this apt hunting i've started thinking about furniture for my new apartment. i guess i'd say my taste is eclectic and quirky. i love "retro" things-- but also love white, refined, feminine furniture. i was on designsponge the other day and she clued me into the pb teen stuff. i knew they did some retro pieces, but i've found so much i'd buy for my place! my mom bought me a clean pine and glass dining rm table from a boutique that went out of biz near her. i could put these 2 pink "ooh la la" chairs on the ends of the table. the mannequin could hang out in my room next to my computer, sporting the latest abblesauce tee of course. and the marlin, woudl be so cool and creepy on the wall!

i love love love these from rare device. granted, the skulls would have to stay on the walls downstairs, away from my bedroom! i've been such a baby lately...scared of every little noise at night. it doesn't help that i love the show Medium...it scares the crap outta me...but i can't help but watch it! i'm always looking for new things to hang on the wall...and diff ways to decorate. especially if we get this new apt, it's huge and there's so much wall space to work with! time to get crafty.

2 looks that i like from the new GO International tara jarmon collection, at target now! i haven't ventured on in yet, b/c i'm trying this new thing...not shopping for clothes. i did start packing a little last night for the new apt move, and boy do i have a ton of clothes. i need to get rid of some first, buy a car, then maybe start shopping again. or maybe i'll just wear abblesauce designs forever. i don't think there's anything wrong with wearing your own stuff. after all i made it, and i think they're adorable designs!

estimates

the estimates are in the works from 2 print shops. one place is great w/ keeping in touch and the other place keeps me at quite a distance. not sure which way i'm leaning yet...one is digital prints and the other silkscreening. i'm pretty sure the silkscreening is the most expensive route, but i'm trying to keep my options open. maybe i do both!??

I sent my blog link to neetmagazine.com, so she could check out some of my fashion illustrations for her June issue. I love what she's doing. It's better than Nylon in my opinion. I don't want to put my shirts up until I actually have them in my possession. However, I will probably put up the 2 samples I received on Friday, just b/c I'm so excited about them.

my 2 tee samples arrived...and boy do they look cute! i wore one shirt all weekend. oops! the mouse is fuzzy, the printer used flock print...which rises and becomes fuzzy after you dry the tee. perfect for a mouse! now it's time to get estimates. i'm going to take pictures of the tees tonight so you guys can see them!!!
