Beci Orpin

I've been spotting this artist's work under her label's name, Princess Tina , for awile now but never new her real name. I finally tracked her down....her name is Beci Orpin, and she's from Australia. I love what she does. You can find her work here . She's also done some work for Built by Wendy and Etnies. I first saw her here at Fred Flare. She's got such cute designs! Visit her website here .

My favorite Built by Wendy dress

I really hope that I don't end up hating these baby doll and pinafore dresses next year, because I'm starting to accumulate quite a few. I keep thinking about buying this one, now that it's down to $170, but it's still so much! I think that this is the perfect pattern of the type of dress I want to make. Perhaps I'll finally break that sewing machine out of the box.

This dress can be found on the Built By Wendy online shop.

x-girl

X-girl is one of those sites that I forget about from time to time, then stumble back on to it and just loooove it! They added a blog, which highlights tons of girl bands, which is to be expected by a brand that was started by Kim Gordon. I enjoy the simplcity and the edge of the brand.

clothes, fashion and me.

I get so much inspiration each day from clothes and from fashion websites. I admire and am get inspired by so many different styles, but mine rarely changes. Sure, my fashion sense alters a bit season to season b/c I'm a trend watcher, but I've really been dressing with the same ideas in my head my whole life.

What inspires me: I love looking into the street brands (that come out of NYC), but cannot imagine myself wearing them. I have a natural draw to them because of my love for making t-shirts and I love the limited edition spin they put on everything. AND I'M PRETTY OBSESSED WITH THE ALL OVER PRINT. I love the kid robot hoodies and also what the girls are doing at MOB.

Then we switch gears to the dark brooklyn 20 something designer....like mociun. Love the styling and the photos...and of course the clothes.

I'm somewhere stuck between a classic clean aesthetic-a trend watcher-and a fun funky young style. My illustrative style (which you can see in Abblesauce) is plain old cute.
I love pop colors!
